SMM4, March 17: March 29, The Shanghai color net new energy research team came to Guangzhou Penghui Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Penhui new energy at the same time layout of power batteries, consumer batteries and energy storage batteries, and cylinder, soft package, square go hand in hand, ready to through technological innovation, to create popular models of batteries. In order to meet the needs of different customers, the company currently has production bases in Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Zhumadian and other places, each production base has the ability to produce different types of batteries.

In March this year, Penghui New Energy announced a plan to set up a new plant in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, mainly for the production of cylindrical batteries. It is scheduled to be initially completed by the end of September this year, and equipment installation and commissioning will be carried out one after another in the fourth quarter, with a view to forming 2Gwh production capacity by the end of the year. It will be put into mass production in 2020.

According to the SMM new energy database, the installed capacity of Penghui new energy ranks 11th in China in 2018, in which the cylindrical battery realizes the installed capacity of 104Mwh, and the square battery realizes the installed capacity of 482Mwh. In the first quarter of this year, Penghui New Energy has achieved the installed capacity of 59.32Gwh.

With regard to the future development direction of the company, the person in charge of Penghui New Energy said that at present, the competition in the power battery market is fierce, while the consumer battery market is stable, and at the same time, some emerging markets are growing at a considerable rate, such as the electric bicycle market. The company's technology development in cylindrical batteries is at the forefront of the industry, and has advantages and confidence in the application of consumer batteries. In the future, the company will continue to cultivate consumer batteries, continue to improve the direction of technological development, and provide customers with higher quality products. The person in charge also said that while further expanding the company's production capacity to meet customer needs, the company is also actively innovating, taking new battery materials, including lithium manganese phosphate, as the main research and development direction.

Qin Jingjing, SMM new energy analyst, said that at present, the market share of consumer batteries has been very concentrated, compared with the fierce competition in the field of power batteries, the development of consumer batteries is more mature and stable. For the leading enterprises, the future is mainly to improve the level of technology as the key goal, such as high voltage, high capacity trend, in order to meet the future development needs of the consumer field, and better prepare for the arrival of the 5G era.
